Effective communication plays an important role in palliative care, often bringing more relief to the patient than any medication. Listening carefully to what a patient has to say is often more helpful than imposing a doctor's will on a patient who is slipping into despair and self-criticism.Palliative care does not just include being affectionate to a patient, but is a comprehensive service that addresses his/her emotional and social problems.
Our main goal is to improve the quality of life of people with chronic diseases. Palliative care is medical care or treatment intended to relieve the suffering of people with painful or complex illnesses. In case of treatable diseases, this care is used to relieve or reduce the patient's pain and other discomforts. Palliative care is a form of treatment that is not focused on subduing diseases or prolonging life but on making a patient's life more comfortable and delightful as long as they are alive.
While the concern that our society is becoming more selfish is widely heard, the youth of Peace Mission Trust have volunteered themselves for this noble symbol of humanitarian service without expecting anything in return. The support and cooperation given to this silent revolution of Peace Mission Trust is indescribable.
May the service of this selfless organization setting the stage for more associations of good minds with humanity left in them, bring relief to many more ...
People often think about palliative care only after all other treatments have been exhausted and the patient is awaiting death.
Instead palliative care is supposed to be assured from the beginning of the treatment, especially in cases where patients are destined to endure great pain throughout its duration. This helps a patient become much more optimistic and relieved, thus instilling confidence and resilience in the patient, and inspiring them to overcome the illness.
Palliative care is a perennial fountain of mercy and a noble symbol of humanity and compassion. We dedicate this initiative to you with our sincere prayers. May the Erumely Peace Mission Palliative Care Center be strengthened to extend the rays of solace to more patients and may the Almighty bless us . . .
